Become a Devotee

What would I do as a Devotee of a Temple?

Now that we will be in-person, we reinstated the role of Devotees. The following are ways our Devotees can aid the deities in their festivals.

If possible, you'll want to arrive on Wednesdays where you will get to participate in the following ways:

You will be included in setting up dedicating the shrine, and helping take down the shrine. You will be educated in the special museum pieces that are part of the shrine and how to care for things so they don't break over the time they are enjoyed during the event. You will participate in caring for the Deity as it is incarnated into its Vessel. Possibly helping through shrine attendance, accompanying the Vessel if they have a specific need in the mysteries, such as you might be asked to help pass out ritual items, you might be asked to help smudge and anoint, or push a button on a stereo at a specific cue.

You will not need to attend rehearsals or memorize lines, nor will you need a costume, but you may wish to bring a robe. Initiates to the mysteries wear white, as the Goddess asks. The color of the himation is more specific to each deity. Lastly, I've given you an idea in what part of the festivals the Temple assists. All the temples still have spaces available.
